PR Nightmare Meets Grumpy Queen: Sparks Were Inevitable | Ana Huang's King of Sloth

I love a grumpy x sunshine trope—especially when the FMC is the grumpy one and the MMC brings the sunshine. It just makes the dynamic so much more compelling. Sloane doesn’t take crap from anyone, and with good reason. Her dad’s a jerk, her stepmother is useless, and her sister? A backstabbing nightmare. The only bright spot in her family is her sweet little half-sister.
Then along comes Xavier. His family is just as dysfunctional, but he’s had a life of privilege—no responsibilities, no hard work, just parties and bad press. That’s where Sloane comes in. Hired as his PR manager by his father to fix his image, she’s suddenly thrown into Xavier’s chaotic world. Things get serious when Xavier is hit with an ultimatum: step up and take over the company as CEO, or lose his inheritance. For the first time in his life, he decides to take control—with Sloane right beside him.
One of my favorite moments? Watching Sloane finally get to confront her past and throw her ex—and her sister’s now-husband—straight under the bus. So satisfying. Also can we talk about what Xavier's nickname for Sloane meant? it was so adorable! I love the way they take down the media reporter, it was hilarious. Love how during the third-act break up Xavier realises how he screwed up instantly and works thrice as hard to get her back.
If you're into "falling for your PR manager" romances with a fiery FMC and a surprisingly soft MMC, this one’s a must-read. I already can’t wait for the next book in the series!
